Protecting the privacy rights of customers is fundamental to the services Darmis Technology LLC provides. Darmis Technology LLC has historically offered customers an overlapping set of legal mechanisms and frameworks for data transfers out of the European Economic Area (EEA).
EU Binding Corporate Rules
Darmis Technology LLC and its group of companies are committed to maintaining compliance with data protection laws, including adhering to the principles outlined in EU Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs) for the secure transfer of personal data. For cross-border transfers from the European Economic Area (EEA), we use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to provide a lawful data transfer mechanism in compliance with GDPR.
EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF)
On July 11, 2023, we welcomed the European Commission's adequacy decision of the EU-U.S. DPF. The DPF enables eligible U.S. companies to facilitate cross-border transfers of personal data in compliance with EU law. Darmis Technology LLC complies with the EU-U.S. DPF for the transfer of personal data we process on behalf of organizations in business accounts.
UK-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (UK-U.S. DPF)
In addition to the EU-U.S. DPF Framework certification, Darmis Technology LLC will also certify to a similar Data Privacy Framework that will be adopted by the UK, known as the UK Extension to the EU-U.S DPF.
